Lately, I have found myself approaching certain holidays with no real enthusiasm or appreciation for them at all. I would only get excited about having a day off from work or a day to sleep in. But as many of you have found, this has been a very challenging year. We all have had struggles of some kind or another, me included. Realizing these challenges and how we (my family and friends) have overcome them, I must take a moment to think on all I have to be thankful for. Oh, my list is much too long to discuss here in this blog but I am taking extra time, every day, not just Thanksgiving Day, to express my gratitude to God, my Heavenly Father, for every blessing and for bringing me out of every challenge. Happy Thanksgiving! What Are You Thankful For?

Found Treasure While on Vacation

While I was there, I found a great venue for a destination wedding. (After all, a wedding and event coordinator never stops working. We are always looking for new venue or design element.) Stony Hill is privately owned home built high on a ridge in the north of St Lucia. Below are some photos from there website.

Surrounded by one and a half acres of tropical gardens it has beautiful panoramic views. It is a perfect setting for any event but I think it would be a great choice for an intimate wedding and reception. As mentioned, the home is privately owned but there are two bedrooms available for overnight accommodations. I did spend some time at this beautiful home and I don't think there are enough pictures that really speak to it's quiet beauty and gorgeous views.
